The awards will be presented at the Annual Banquet on April 28, 2016.

Miller County Health Center Health & Wellness Grant Application
Grant Application Deadline: May 2, 2016
The Miller County Health Center is offering the communities of Miller County the opportunity to submit grant applications for  funding to improve the Health and Wellness in your communities. Grants range from $1,000 to $20,000. Grant applications can be found on the Health Centers web page at:  millercountyhealth.com, the link is located on the bottom left of the web page. New Classes For Adults

Please take a minute to view the brochure at this link. We have several new course offerings including, Cooking My Way, Coloring Club for Adults, Wooden Sign Shop class, Introduction to Computers and Microsoft Excel, just to name a few.

Maple Street Café is working with ECC to host Tea Time Etiquette. Participants will attend a real tea party with loose leaf tea, cucumber sandwiches and scones. You will enjoy yourself while learning the proper use of a napkin, how to set a table, the correct use of the knife and fork and so much more.

Auto Upkeep – Don’t let your young adult go off to college without knowing basic auto maintenance! In this one evening class, participants will learn how to change a tire, use jumper cables, check the fluids in the engine and more. You will gain so much confidence as a driver by learning basic auto care.

Judy Young has written 20+ children’s books and she is giving a presentation for adults at Eldon Career Center. The title of this presentation is, So You Wanna Be An Author? Judy will share myths and truths about the publishing process and what it takes to become a children’s author. If you have any interest in getting published you won’t want to miss this presentation.

We want to give you the opportunity to part of the Mustang Legacy at the new Performing Arts Center. Personalized donor pavers will be used at the main entrance similar to what we did in Mustang Memorial Park.

SkillsUSA BBQ Fundraiser

Lake Regional Clinic Expansion in Eldon

Lake Regional Health System is pleased to announce expansion plans for Lake Regional Clinic – Eldon. A two-story addition, expanded parking and a new entrance from Mill Street are all coming to the clinic at 304 E. Fourth St. Area residents are invited to learn more about the project at a community forum scheduled 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at the Eldon Community Center, conference rooms A and B.

When complete, the new facility will house a retail pharmacy; digital imaging services; a new clinic and waiting area for primary care and pediatrics; a full-time OB/GYN; and plenty of space for outreach by other specialties, such as orthopedics and sleep medicine. In addition, the existing primary care clinic will be remodeled for Urgent Care, and the Cardiac Rehab/Physical Therapy reception area will be made more inviting.
